Our Chuppah

There is no more iconic symbol of a Jewish wedding than the chuppah. It symbolizes the new home a couple is building together, beginning with their wedding day. Most importantly, it is beautiful, and tells everyone that your wedding is a Jewish wedding.

It’s also almost impossible to find one to use, especially if you are traveling to your wedding from out of town.

Sure, the DIYers among you might be thrilled to tackle this project with a few trips to the hardware and craft stores. (Here is one tutorial out of many out there.) Of course, you can also buy one on Etsy - but the all-inclusive or easy-to-assemble ones can get pretty pricey.

After talking through this issue with several of my couples, I decided to get my own chuppah that is easy to transport and assemble. I’m pleased to announce that it’s now ready and available for use by any of my couples to rent for their big day. The fee ($90) includes delivery and pickup. When I drop it off, I’ll bring a couple different options for a basic cover, but you can of course use your own - grandpa’s tallis, grandma’s tablecloth - whatever.

If you’re stressed about finding a chuppah for your big day, let me help. I’m always happy to do whatever I can to make your Jewish wedding just a little bit easier.

Love,

Rabbi LeighAnn
