Mr. and Mrs. M

Honestly, Mr. and Mrs. M are one of the best and most hilarious examples of “opposites attract” I’ve officiated a wedding for. She works with animals and loves random dance parties. He inspects buildings and likes sitting on the porch.

And, let me tell you - they are PERFECT together.

They were smart enough to have their wedding at Strongwater, and I will NEVER complain about officiating one there! It is an incredible venue and quickly becoming one of my super-faves of Columbus wedding venues.

That’s our chuppah!

Mrs. M requested a ceremony where I explained the customs at a “Level-3 Jewiness” factor. (Yes, we laughed a LOT during planning.) This couple was committed to the traditions. They circled. They stomped. Their bridesmaids read the seven wedding blessings. Mrs. M’s mother led the blessing over wine and the priestly blessing at the end - in Hebrew! Honestly, Mrs. M’s guests did half my job for me. It was so much fun.

Oh! And Mr. M’s dad did the custom art for their incredibly cool white-on-black ketubah. We signed with a golden Sharpie. That’s what Mr. and Mrs. A’s wedding day turned out to be - GOLDEN.

Thank you to the amazing Ben Britton for these photos!

Mazal Tov, Mr. and Mrs. M! I am so thrilled you chose me to be your rabbi.
